Friday at last!
We started this morning with a story about three rather stupid people who took a day trip in to a forest without a compass, a torch or a mobile phone. They didn't tell anyone where they were going and they ended up getting lost. We arranged the story so it made sense and then we spent a few minutes criticising them! They should have told someone what they were doing! If they'd had a mobile phone they could have called for help.

As we corrected the test we talked about phrasal verbs and in particular, the particle UP. Here are the five ways that up is used in phrasal verbs. We'll talk more about that next week though.

After we had corrected the test we played a game of interruptions. The objective was to ask many questions and interrupt the person telling the story. You did ok most of the time, I know you forgot sometimes though! Asking questions is a great way to keep a conversation going.
Don't forget, next week we're not using the book but I'm designing some very interesting classes for us. You would like to do some authentic listenings, talk to native people and practice quite a bit of grammar. I'm working on it!
If you think of anything else you'd like to cover, just let me know in the comments or next week.
Today was Manuel's last class, it was great to meet you Manuel. We wish you the best of luck finding a job and don't forget to stay in touch. Enjoy your beer in the Living Room with your Delfin Dollar too!
